Burano Plate Ø 36 Acquamarine
Burano is an island in the Lagoon of Venice, famous for its lace. This plate utilizes a section of “bricola”, the traditional timber pole planted in the Lagoon seabed, characterized by a particular pattern of solids and voids – created by mollusks – which resembles lace. This wooden crochet is surrounded by a sheet of transparent aquamarine resin liven up by a constellation of air bubbles that returns a fragment of submerged Venice.
