Consequence 102
Consequence 102 is an original design by André Silva Sancho. A geometrical casing composed of several plywood sections enclose a bioplastic element. The linear character of the structure creates an interesting juxtaposition with the organic shape of the bioplastic.
This piece is part of the Blowplastic project, which led the designer to explore the limits between industry and craft. First, André selected a technique, a tool and a material: the glass blowing technique, a mold, and bioplastic. Then, he observed what happened when the creator does not fully control all aspects of the design process. A collaboration between craftsman and material is born, as if the pieces have a will of its own. It is like a living organism, resulting in beautiful, exquisitely organic pieces.
