Old Thermos Bottle Vase
A series of ‘old inner chamber vases’.
These beautiful, double-walled thermos jugs had been gathering dust in a basement for years. Piet Hein Eek decided to turn the silvered inner chambers of the jugs into vases by developing a system that allows him to produce frames for the vases in different shapes and sizes in a relatively easy way.
The vases still have the kind of grandeur suited for the porcelain palace they were once purchased for.
Production will stay limited to the 44 pieces, which come in 16 different shapes.
