Made from pulped waste-paper, the Paperpulp Cabinet is a sustainable and innovative piece. Debbie Wijskamp took inspiration from different cultures which make their own homes with materials found in the surroundings. The Dutch designer wanted to develop her own building material. Consequently, she started to experiment with the re-usage of waste paper, eventually developing Paperpulp. This innovative and versatile material, with its own characteristic appearance and structure, has many possible applications. Treated with a water-based binder, paper becomes a structural material, allowing the creation of endless designs.
