Tables Are Forever is the latest project by Studio Rygalik. This collection of tables in cast iron invites to contemplate the inevitable transformation of matter and material culture. Its post-human character encourages to reflect on what will remain of us and our everyday objects. The table represents a significant element of culture, gathering people together in an act of transferring knowledge. The cast iron technology chosen for the production process is the most basic technique; enabling the creation of strong, robust, durable, almost indestructible objects. While everything changes, these tables are forever. Every piece is available in two versions that demonstrate the aging of the material: non-corrosive, natural cast iron and corroded cast iron covered by a clear coating to protect the user from rust.
