Architect and designer Matteo Casalegno studies every form of contrast, achieving a concept of aesthetics based on perfect imperfection, by linking the antipodes for an emotional result that is far removed from the perfect, polished spaces that have characterised and continue to distinguish mass-produced designs and products. Imperfection becomes decorum and time is translated into emotion, the past interacts harmoniously with the present, without hiding anything that has been, but actually helping to achieve a final balance. “It all comes down to daily life, real life, life where you dirty your hands, sweat, cry and laugh. But in spite of this, it always affects you.”
