Maison Rhizomes

Maison Rhizomes was created in 2022 with Hannah Vagedes as a studio dedicated to transforming painting into the medium of hand-knotted rugs, creating works of art in a limited edition of twenty-two. Maison Rhizomes collaborates with contemporary artists to bring their vision to life in the form of luxurious and artistic rugs. The current collection features the works of founder and Belgian artist, Charlotte Culot and expands with works by French artist, Ludovic Philippon. Each rug is crafted with care and attention to detail in Nepal or India, only using the best materials available. Maison Rhizomes aims to create rugs that offer more than just functionality—they wish to provide a sensory experience that invites connection. Each piece is crafted with purpose, carrying forward a tradition of artistry that spans generations. With every rug, a unique story unfolds, fostering a dialogue between the artist and those who welcome it into their space.
