Paul Salet

Paul Salet (1956) lives and works in Amsterdam, The Netherlands and in St.Amant de Montmoreau, France. He is working all his life with used materials, wood and found objects and started in 2015 a serie named Enough Chairs. These were existing pieces, made of solid oak or colonial teak, that seemed to have lost their value. Working as a sculptor, within the boundaries of the material, he liberates these chairs by carving , sanding and polishing them. The resulting Sculpture Furniture is a unique work of art, once again in touch with its origin, the forest. Since 2018 the serie Enough Tables has started, and these reclaimed tables now also are part of a Circular Economy. He loves the trees, but whenever one has to fall the wood is being used for consoles, cabinets or tables of his own design. His first museum exposition was in 2017 and his work was exposed at Collect Saatchi Gallery, Dutch Design Week, ObjectRotterdam, VenturaDubai, and ArtBasel MiamiDesign.
