Hana Vopravilova

Hana Vopravilová hovers between design and fine art objects. Her repertoire shows a certain fascination with process – her typical subtly emotive aesthetic intersects with complex themes that are close to the pitfalls of glass production, social issues, and sustainability itself. At the same time, she benefits from the character of other materialities, she extracts them and interprets in projects that are often just research oriented. For Hana, process > output and perhaps this is why her creations are a space for research – not only for herself, but also for the spectator.
Her studies have taken her through The Secondary School of Glassmaking in Kamenický Šenov, the Studio of Glass at the FAD JEPU in Ústí nad Labem, and the Designer Maker program at MOME in Budapest. She has exhibited at Prague Czech Design Week, Meat Design in Ostrava, or at Designblok with a group project Haha together with Antonín Košek. In 2023, she was a finalist for the Stanislav Libenský Award.
