Babel Tower III

Built with several handcrafted woods and transparent plexiglass, the Babel Tower III is an interesting bookcase by Hillsideout. It features five wooden shelves linked by a central column. This design permits each book to function as a bookend for another book. Books can be taken easily through spinning the bearing structure. The bookcase rests on 6 wheels; therefore it is rotatable.

This bookcase finds its inspiration in the famous story of the Tower of Babel. The Biblical myth talks about a tower tall enough to reach heaven and the creation of different languages.
