Paul Heijnen was born in Heerlen, The Netherlands in 1983. Focused on the creation and crafting of limited editions and one-offs. I tread the gray zone between design, crafts, drawing, photography, sculpture, functional art, installation, and many other arts, but always applied to or at least suggesting objects of use. When looking at the overview of previous works and talking about former or ongoing projects and thoughts concerning them, we have to maintain that “objects or subjects” that originate in the creation out of my hands, sometimes look like and somehow are like organisms in various ways. New objects come to life as intricate, modular designs grow into and out of each other, becoming an evolving, epiphanous tree of designs and ideas that can be traced to a common ancestor.
