Caco No.03

The Caco series (Caco means shards of glass in portuguese) is made of shards of glass that would be discarded. These shards are polished one by one and cleaned. After that, a mosaic of glass shards goes to more than 800 degrees using only solar power in a way they don’t lose this aggressive aspect. The series was thought out to be the opposite of Lucas’ first collection, which seeks the liquid and transparent aspect of the glass and arises out of Lucas’ extensive research on the history of beauty and ugliness in this world, and seeks to invoke the feeling of loss when an object breaks, because when this happens, you lose something which then becomes something else and that is the way Lucas sees the evolution of our contemporary society and that is the way the CACO series was created. There are 4 different sizes of this caco series, each one with an edition of 8 plus 3 artist proof.

As the production process of the glass is completely artisanal, there may be slight variations in the shape of the pieces. Likewise, air bubbles are part of the artisanal process, their size, quantity and shape are uncontrollable factors. Indoor as a side table.
