Designed under the curatorship of renowned trend forecaster and design visionary Lidewij Edelkoort and based on the original artworks of Japanese artist mirocomachiko, this unique piece captures the primal essence of the animal world into textile.
Woven using 100% wool yarns, the rug brings to life Machiko’s free-spirited brushwork into a textured surface that evokes movement, character and instinct. “Instinctive lifeforces that are captivated in wool fibres by El Espartano. Wild rugs that reflect the inherent rules of design to abandon the self into creativity,” says Edelkoort about the collection.
