Fragmento

Up to now I have used recycled materials and parts to make my sculptural furniture, whilst trying to add function to form to push the boundaries. As of late I have been toying with the idea to go a step further and use antique furniture shapes from the Piemontese area to create a marriage between then and now. I spotted a beautiful 18th century gilded Rococó consolle and took it as inspiration and added various high tech LED lights an anti-EMF drawer for your WiFi gadgets as well as USB ports and international electrical plugs. The result is a visual fragmentation of a classic shape brought to ‘today’.
