Organoid cabinet

Organoid Cabinet is the most recent, quite experimental work that is a part of Organoid collection, a growing set of sculptures and functional objects in which I focus on expressing a pure energy of living matter.In this particular piece, I wanted to create an allegorical representation of our world, understood individually or globally, simplified to two basic elements.
One is irregular, seemingly chaotic and made from wood, representing the Natural environment. The other shape is very simple, practical and functional and made from recycled plastic. It represents our Culture of logic and all that is its creation. Focusing only on this simple representation, I want to provoke some deeper thoughts about our place, dependance and collective impact on our surroundings. Not accidentally, the artificial part is supported by the natural form. At first sight, it is easy to sense the delicate balance between them. Still, there is another level that might be contemplated upon deeper inspection of the specific qualities of materials used that gives them hidden potential meaning. It is fascinating for me that, with closer look, the chaotic shape starts to reveal a very regular pattern and at the same time, the simple rectangular shape surprises with a beautifully strange interior
– this I want to leave for inspiration for conversation and deeper reflection on ourselves.
