The Load

The Load is made of ash wood with a lot of attention and love for design. Details such as small offset edges and beautiful screws are then ruined by a thick layer of burnt plastic bags that wrap or conceal the design cabinet. At the same time, the cabinet functions as a kind of time machine, many plastic bags belong to companies that have gone bankrupt in the meantime and have disappeared from the common memory. The handle of the cabinet is a cross in which various bankrupt company names are engraved. And how do we look at this cabinet in a few years’ time when plastic bags have disappeared from our daily lives at all?
