Volume 2 Crystal Vase – White is a beautiful piece entirely made of crystal glazes. These exciting glazes can be produced by adding different oxides and ingredients. There are endless variations that one can produce. To show a crystal glaze at its best, Milan Pekar has designed collection of vases that are based on simple geometric shapes and proportions. To achieve cleanest and purest shapes for glaze application, model of vases were first made of plaster. Then, they were slip-casted from porcelain. The designer’s goal is to show this colorful blast of crystals without going over the top.
