“This interactive installation features a disappearing portrait housed within a mirrored frame. Utilizing motion-sensing technology (or “proximity-based fading”), the artwork replaces the original sitter with the viewer’s reflection at eye level. The piece explores the fluidity of identity, inviting the audience to literally ‘step into’ the portrait’s space.”
