Hatch – Eggshell Floor Lamp Double

The ‘Hatch’ Eggshell Floor Lamp transforms discarded eggshells into a luminous work of art, casting a warm, mesmerizing glow. Balancing fragility and strength, its hand-assembled eggshell diffusers into an elegant, three-dimensional curved form. A silver-top LED filament bulb enhances the organic texture, creating a soft, reflected diffused glow that highlights each eggshell’s intricate details. Reinterpreting traditional eggshell lacquerwork, Hatch encases delicate fragments in transparent resin, forming a layered, luminous pattern. Supported by a polished stainless steel column, its bold structure contrasts raw, organic surfaces with sleek metal.

Standing 1.6 or 1.9 meters tall, Hatch features single or double handcrafted diffusers, each uniquely made by Studio Yellowdot using around two dozen eggs. A capacitive touch sensor, disguised as a hand-carved bird perch, adds a playful interactive element, reinforcing themes of warmth and renewal. Blending craftsmanship, nature, and technology, Hatch offers an immersive lighting experience that transforms any space.
