Natalia Lumbreras presents “JARRONES” (vases), a series of unique pieces of hand painted silks, representing each a different work inspired in these objects, always welcoming us in spaces we live in, such us homes, museums, restaurants , galleries… Through this collection she develops her interest in these every-day objects which have a different million personalities depending on their material, color, content. Inspired by their presence in almost every Henry Mattise work of art, the idea of this collection emerged while studying his work and life. Known to be a great colorist, Natalia explores here proportion through plain big surfaces of color, something completely new in her line of work. A dialogue between vases or plant, flower and vase is stablished making out of each vase more than the object itself.
