“WHO ARE YOU WHEN NO ONE IS WATCHING”

It represents the figure of a woman – Kelly is her name – with a sophisticated and elegant appearance wearing a red jacket with a tailored cut, finely decorated with the classic motifs of the historic Moor’s heads, the spotted turban, the pearls and the black lace bra, underline her passion for fashion and for designer labels. With her clothing, the gestures with which she holds a glass of champagne and the make-up chosen to emphasize her features, Kelly wants to fascinate and seduce the viewer who observes her. The artist with Kelly, wanted to describe a woman who at first glance, seems confident and master of the scene. But does this image really reflect who she is, or is there something more hidden behind her appearance? The work invites us to reflect on who we really are when no one is looking. Perhaps this woman, behind the image she wants to show, hides a different personality: she could be a young girl who wants to appear as a confident and seductive woman to get attention and approval from others; it could be a bored wife who enjoys seducing other men; she could be the awkward friend we could never have imagined so seductive. And who do you imagine Kelly could be?
