Odyssey pendant light

Odyssey, a light object designed by Czech artist Václav Mlynář, is a limited edition of 20 pieces created exclusively for display at the Rossana Orlandi gallery. Premiering at Milan Design Week 24, it draws inspiration from Mlynář’s enduring passion for science fiction, evident in its design typology. “In the world of sci-fi, designers have boundless freedom to create, imagine and innovate,” remarks Mlynář, reflecting on his lifelong fascination with imaginary realms. Hence, the name ‘Odyssey,’ paying homage to the iconic film ‘2001: A Space Odyssey’ by Stanley Kubrick. Crafted in the Czech Republic by Bomma, a renowned glass factory specializing in crystal lighting, ‘Odyssey’ embodies Mlynář’s creative vision. Since 2016, Mlynář has served as Creative Director at Bomma, ensuring the production of exceptional quality lighting fixtures.
