Round Staircase Table

Round Staircase Table is part of the “Wild Minimalism” sculpture furniture collection. The main inspiration for this collection comes from the desire to go “back to the roots”. This phrase has multiple interpretations and levels.

Firstly, on the existential level, we go back to the state of belonging, to the place of identity. In such a fake world, the feeling of groundedness, of being “one with the nature”, is the most precious one. ROOMS wants to bring this feeling to interior design by using natural materials such as stone, wood, brass and glass. Secondly, on a cultural level, designers base this collection on ancient wood curving techniques. Everything is done as it used to be centuries ago. All wooden elements are hand-crafted in a very simplistic and primitive way.

Of course, rather than creating just mere copies of ancient products, they add a modern twist and a hint of humor to them. The fusion of different materials and the way different shapes mix to create a single object defines the final look of the collection. The theme of “primitivity” also shines through the shapes ROOMS uses, which are quite sculptural. They want the products to feel unaffected by civilizing influences. “Wild Minimalism” is a limited edition collection with very few re-runs. Every product will be one of a kind thanks to the hand curved technique. Very symbolic shapes make this pieces iconic.
