The Mora Constellation
Studio Waldemeyer presents The Mora Constellation: an interactive installation that transforms the familiar language of the chandelier into a living composition of rhythm, presence, and atmosphere. A constellation of slender luminous elements hangs in quiet suspension, each resembling the distilled gesture of a candle flame. Arranged as a shifting constellation rather than a fixed object, the work creates a spatial landscape of light that changes with the movement of those around it. As visitors move around the piece, the lights respond softly to their presence. Like flames disturbed by a passing breath of air, they grow momentarily more animated, their flicker rippling through the constellation in a quiet choreography of light. The work draws on the timeless symbolism of candlelight as a marker of memory, intimacy, and shared presence, yet it is realised through contemporary electronics and finely engineered components. The result is a chandelier that behaves less as a static object and more as a living atmosphere.
