atelier oï’s own, private collection — atelier oï PRIVÉ – is a unique collection of limited-edition artworks explore diverse materials, craftsmanship and exemplify our very personal vision.

The sky is a dynamic, living entity, forever changing by the wind and passage of time. It serves as a boundless source of inspiration, captivating us with its vast array of colors and ever-shifting lines. This is what compels us to materialise the moments of inspiration that move us.

The inspiration for this lighting installation draws from the crepuscular rays, diverging lines of light intersected with shadows. This is a natural phenomenon that occurs after sunset, a moment of transition into the night. In the Greek mythology, each hour is personified as a divinity, collectively representing the divisions of time. Dysi and Dysa’s naming derives from the 11th hour and second last hour of the day that embodies sundown – called ‘Dysis’.

This first series contains 2 larger Dysa and 2 smaller Dysi artworks. They stand as two distinct lighting installations, each unique in size and character. Comprising an opalescent blown glass sphere, developed by Murano glass expert Vistosi and two metal arches. The dark steel arches extend the copper springs, creating interconnected spaces. These components are like opposing forces, locked in a delicate equilibrium, where they meet at a point of perfect balance.

A light source emanates from the base of the glass sphere, loading the springs with a luminous vitality. The atmosphere created makes the observer wonder whether the light radiates from inside the blown glass sphere or from the top of the structure.
