Hélicoïdale
Hélicoïdale is a natural olfactive, wooden art installation, made of thin sheets of untreated Swiss pine, stacked to form a fan of wood. Our wish was to explore and have a profound understanding of the wood in order to create an object that respects each of its characteristics. The wooden sheets have an ideal relationship between their own weight, the tension of the material and their translucent character.
This installation highlights the ambient and invisibleenergies found in every space. Helicoïdales capture the air movements in space, often caused by temperature differences, and set themselves in motion. Thus, they start to rotate independently, each at its own pace, creating a play of superimpositions and transparencies of the wood, which envelops the space with a warm color
