Futbolin

Futbolin is a majestic and functional art piece made of different colorful woods and several metals. This unique edition looks like a sculpture but works perfectly like a game. Hillsideout has created this piece to celebrate the hundredth birth anniversary of Alexandre Campos Ramírez, inventor of the table football.

Its particular legs resemble rustic table legs used by monks in medieval age. The hand-carved shape towards the top recalls the shape of the mountains near Barcelona, where the first prototype of table football was made in 1936. Starting from the table tennis, Ramírez developed the “futbolín”. As a result, the modern table football was born.
