Chuch Estudio
Aranza García Burgos (b. 1997, Mexico) is an architect and designer working across interiors, furniture and objects. Living and working between Mérida and Milan, her practice moves between local material cultures and contemporary design discourse.Trained in Architecture at Universidad de Monterrey and currently completing a Master’s in Furniture Design at Politecnico di Milano, her work operates across disciplines and scales. In 2020, Chuch Estudio was founded as a platform to develop furniture and objects rooted in material exploration, everyday life and cultural context. Her work explores the relationship between everyday objects, context and materiality, often drawing from urban Mexican environments where color, improvisation and emotion shape daily life. Rather than treating craft as a fixed tradition, the process is approached as collaborative and evolving—working closely with artisans while remaining directly involved in making and finishing the pieces. Rooted in a distinctly Mexican sensibility, the work reflects an ability to find lightness and joy even within constraint, resisting rigid design frameworks in favor of a more intuitive and context-driven approach.
