Szymon Keller
My practice moves between interior architecture and collectible design. Based in Barcelona – studio and workshop, I develop residential and hospitality interiors alongside sculptural objects and collectible pieces. Holding a double Master’s degree in Interior Architecture and Design from the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, my background in Fine Arts strongly shapes my approach. The relationship between art and space has always been central to my work. The development of collectible pieces emerged naturally from this intersection – as a way to translate artistic expression into functional, spatial objects. Growing up near the Baltic Sea in Pomerania, Poland, surrounded by amber and northern landscapes, shaped my early visual memory. Relocating south to Andalusia and Barcelona introduced a dialogue with the Mediterranean, its light, transparency and marine forms. This conversation between the Baltic and Mediterranean seas informs my collections, where resin becomes a medium for translating marine memory and organic forms into sculptural objects.
