The Travellers Collection’s lamps range over time and territories, from Mediterranean to Dutch culture and identity,
allowing for exploration between the boundaries of art and design in a fresh, culturally open environment that contributes to shaping an inclusive and multicultural identity. Although Michela’s techniques are rooted in tradition, there is in her work a drive for innovation and a desire to produce sustainably within a circular system. This particular piece has been featured in collaboration with a Japanese artist. Chizuru Hayashi is a chemist specialized in the kintsugi technique using the Urushi lacquer using the sap of the Urushi tree.
